The Scandic Jyv�skyl� is a modern hotel located right in the city centre, one kilometre from Jyv�skyl� Ridge and Observation Tower. This five floor hotel features 150 air conditioned guestrooms, all of which include satellite television with pay movies, trouser presses, hair dryers and minibars. Located on the ground floor, the indoor pool is flanked by palm trees. After a refreshing dip guests can unwind in the sauna; there is also a private sauna available for hire for small groups. While parents relax with a cocktail from the bar, kids can have fun in the playroom where there are plenty of games, toys, videos and a video games console to keep them occupied. Children receive a surprise gift at check in and every day in the summer Sigge the Hedgehog hosts a pancake party. Business guests enjoy access to five meeting rooms with wireless Internet access and audio visual equipment. Guests arriving by car will appreciate free outdoor parking, or garage parking is available for a surcharge. The hotel lies one kilometre from the ridge, which dominates the city skyline and is one of Jyv�skyl�'s most popular viewpoints and green areas. The ridge has a number of signposted walks, a sports stadium and a summer theatre as well as the Vesilinna water tower, which features the Natural History Museum of Central Finland, an observation platform and panoramic restaurant. Further attractions within five kilometres of the hotel include the Alvar Aalto Museum, and Viherlaakso adventure theme park. Jyv�skyl� Airport is 20 kilometres away with an approximate driving time of 35 minutes.

A taxi to town costs approximately 30 EUR. A shared 'Airport Taxi' costs 15 EUR per person and there is also a bus service which connects with flights arriving at the airport; the bus costs around 6 EUR. The bus and train stations are both 200 metres away from the hotel. The city centre is easily explored on foot. A car is recommended for trips out of town.
